Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to TuneWise Songwriter Studio (the "App"), developed and published by Joseph S Bailey. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.

The short version

We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything you create in the App — songs, lyrics, voice memos, set lists, settings — stays on your device. We have no servers that receive your data. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or third-party tracking.

Data the App handles (all on-device)

Songs, chords, and lyrics you write in the Songwriter are saved in your device's local browser storage (Capacitor's localStorage). They never leave your device.
Voice memos recorded inside the App are encoded and stored locally with the corresponding song. They are never uploaded anywhere.
Set lists and app settings (BPM defaults, drum kit preferences, zoom level, etc.) are stored locally.
Sample audio files (guitar, mandolin, violin, piano, and drum sounds) are bundled with the App at install time. They are not personalized and contain no information about you.

Permissions

Microphone — requested only when you tap "Record Voice Memo" inside the Songwriter. Recorded audio is saved to the current song's record on your device and never transmitted.

The App does not request access to your camera, contacts, photos, location, health data, or any other sensitive system features.

Purchases

TuneWise Songwriter Studio is a paid app purchased through the Apple App Store. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not see or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.

Third-party content

The App bundles audio samples from open-source, MIT-licensed sample libraries (notably the Gleitz midi-js-soundfonts project). These are static files included at install time and do not transmit any user data.

Children

TuneWise Songwriter Studio is intended for general audiences and is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the App handles data (for example, adding analytics or an account system in a future version), we will update this policy and note the new effective date above. Future versions that introduce data collection will require your explicit consent before any data is transmitted.
